Newsletter 2 – Study visit to the Parco Parco Tecnologico Padano (PTP) – 16th-17th November 2015, Lodi, Italy

The second newsletter of the Biogreen project is published to share information about the exchange of experiences between the partners of the project during a study visit to the PTP in Lodi.
The objective of the visit was to acquire elements of Good Practice and innovation, especially about the Cluster CAT.AL of Lombardia Region.

Monday, 16th November 2015 – morning

Welcoming of the delegation and press conference of the Alimenta2Talent project

The delegation of Basilicata, composed by the representatives of the partnership and companies, was welcomed by Gianluca Carienzo (Director of the PTP and President of APSTI) and Cristina Tajani (Assessor of Labor Policy, Economic Development, University and Research; Smart City) at the Urban Centre of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele in Milan, where the press conference of the 3rd edition of the program Alimenta2Talent was held.

During the conference, the “Call Internazionale” of Milan and the Foundation of PTP, which aims to support projects for enterprises in the agri-foog and life sciences sectors, were presented by Cristina Tajani and Gianluca Carenzo.

Visiting the PTP in Lodi – afternoon

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the PTP, where Andrea Vallan (PTP Business Incubator Project Developer) presented the “Cluster Alta Tecnologia Agrofood Lombardy (CAT.AL). The Cluster CAT.AL and its associates work to strengthen the role of Lombardy as technical-scientific leader of the agro-food sector at regional and European level.

Later, Riccardo Gefter (PTP Project Manager) presented the project “Agriculture of Tomorrow: Demo Field for Sustainable Production Systems”, then Davide Ederle (PTP Core Facilities Project Manager) showed the facilities of PTP for the delegate. After, Fabrizio Trigila (PTP Business Incubator Project Manager) introduced the incubator and accelerator of the ‟Alimenta” enterprise.

Thereafter, the following enterprises of the PTP Incubator Project were presented:

-Algamundi srl
-BiCT srl
-IpadLAB srl
-Agroalimentare Sud

Tuesday, 17th November 2015 – morning

At the Region of Lombardy, the delegation was welcomed by Paolo Lamperti (Senior Project Manager, responsible of the activities in support of the Cluster Lombardy).

At the meeting “Finlombarda” was held by Simona Giacomazzi (Senior Project Manager, responsible of Open Innovation) and Francesca De Candido (Senior Project manager, responsible of the logistics coordination between the region and the cluster).
The topics of the meeting were the policy of Lombardy Region to support research and innovation, the instruments of implementation of the S3 deepening the following points:
– Cluster Tecnologici Lombardi: development and consolidation
– Collaborative platform of Open Innovation
